Billy Idol: White Christmas

I got the impression that some readers didn't care for the Bing Crosby/Frank Sinatra rendition of White Christmas. (Cathy liked it though). So here's another:

A bonus one for Swissmiss (Jingle Bell Rock):

LMAO!!!
I don't think Billy meant for this to be funny, but I laughed all the way through it and it took me over a half hour on my slow dial up just to get the privilege!!
OH MY!!
The tempo is so slow that you feel like you want to shake him, but his voice is better than Frank's (sorry, blame it on my generation's taste in music). You could say I would rather find Billy under my tree than Frank :)
He snarls and hams for the camera - too funny.
My best friend in HS and college LOVED Billy Idol. Just loved him. I would roll my eyes when we would hear his songs. He must've had to get some sort of permit to sing a song like this! At least it wasn't the Ave Maria - please don't tell me THAT'S on his album!

Thanks for the laugh. Tragic and funny all in one!

Hehe. That reminds me, once when he hosted Saturday Night Live, Sting played Billy Idol (with the snarls and all) in a spoof of the McLaughlin Group, hosted by "Frank Sinatra" (Phil Hartman). It was hilarious.

Ewwwww! The second one was definitely over the top. He's kind of mocking himself...or so it seems. I don't know what would possess him to venture into this genre (rehab bills to pay?) but he should stick to 80s music!

I love "White Wedding"! It has to be one of my top ten favorites in music.
