By Dick Morris
Natural disasters usually follow the same political trajectory: First
the incumbent experiences a bounce as he tours the impacted area, shows
his concern, and pledges help to his beleaguered constituents. But then
reality sets in and the shortages, delays, mishaps, deaths, and
devastation becomes apparent and people turn against the incumbent.
George W. Bush had his Katrina.
And now Barack Obama has his Sandy.
Last week, Obama asserted a kind of ownership of the storm by touring
New Jersey in the now infamous embrace of Republican stalwart Governor
Chris Christie. Now that we are all appalled by the lack of food, gas,
water, heat, and the basic essentials of life throughout the storm zone,
Obama’s government doesn’t look so good anymore.
Why didn’t FEMA stockpile food, water, and gasoline? We had a week’s
notice to prepare for Sandy.
There was no shortage of time. Did the
government not realize that people needed to eat, drink, and drive?
All throughout America, we are asking these questions of our television sets as we watch the evolving story of human misery.
Meanwhile, Obama has resumed the campaign trail, pounding the
opposition in the same relentless and partisan style which he used
before the storm. When Obama said that voting was “the best revenge,” he
threw away whatever presidentiality he displayed in touring storm
damage earlier in the week.
As he entered the last week before the Congressional election of
1994, President Clinton returned to the U.S. after having presided over
the signing of a peace treaty between Israel and Jordan. He called me on
his return and asked where he should campaign? Which incumbent
Democrats should he try to help get re-elected?
I told him he should not campaign for any of them.
“No, you don’t understand,” he explained. I just came back from the
Middle East and my ratings are up ten points. Before, I would have hurt
the candidates I campaigned for, but not now. Now I can help them.”
“Your ratings are up because your trip hyped your presidentiality.
Now, if you start campaigning, you’ll look like a politician and your
ratings will come down again. You’ll end up doing more harm than good to
those you are trying to help.”
He disregarded the advice and lost both houses of Congress in the elections.
Now Obama is making the same mistake. By campaigning, particularly by
using the same harsh partisan rhetoric which has characterized his
campaign, Obama is dragging down his ratings and with it his chances of
victory.
Particularly when we see the juxtaposition of the mounting disaster
in New York and New Jersey and the President out on the campaign trail
attacking his opponents, we realize that Obama is a candidate before he
is president, more worried about his second term than the welfare of his
constituents.
In yesterday’s polling numbers, I saw a rise in Obama’s ratings and
warned that the race was far from over. Now, we see him throwing it all
away and resuming his crash into a single term presidency.

Clinton: I Thought Obama 'Was Going to Cry'
By DANIEL HALPER
(The Weekly Standard) At a campaign event for Barack Obama's reelection campaign, Bill Clinton said that Mitt Romney's argument "is true, we're not fixed":
"Governor Romney's argument is, we're not fixed, so fire him and put me in," said Clinton. "It is true we're not fixed. When President Obama looked into the eyes of that man who said in the debate, I had so much hope four years ago and I don't now, I thought he was going to cry. Because he knows that it's not fixed."
UPDATE: A Romney spokesman comments: "We agree with former President Bill Clinton. The economy has not been fixed under President Barack Obama. Today, more than 23 million Americans are struggling for work, poverty has increased and food stamps are at record levels. Mitt Romney believes we can do better by creating 12 million new jobs with higher take-home pay, cutting spending to put our nation on course for a balanced budget, and actually fixing our economy."

Disinvite Obama
Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
We’d like to begin today with a section from the Church’s Code of Canon Law … It’s from “Canon 212 .. §2. The Christian faithful are free to make known to the pastors of the Church their needs, especially spiritual ones, and their desires. §3. According to the knowledge, competence, and prestige which they possess, they have the right and even at times the duty to manifest to the sacred pastors their opinion on matters which pertain to the good of the Church and to make their opinion known to the rest of the Christian faithful..”
Following on from this .. we’d like to invite you to join a petition we are organizing for respectful submission to the Archdiocese of New York to request the leaders of the New York Archdiocese to rescind their invitation to Obama to attend the annual Al Smith dinner.
For Obama to be seen hobnobbing and glad-handing and all smiles and jokes and pats on the back with Cardinal Timothy Dolan will be a source of great scandal and confusion for untold numbers of Catholic faithful as well as many others of good will.
Therefore..
We the undersigned respectfully request that the invitation to Barack Obama to be a guest at this year’s annual Al Smith charity fundraising dinner be withdrawn immediately.
Barack Obama has proven himself to be an aggressive adversary of the Catholic Church with regard to numerous policies put forth under his administration.
These include, but are not limited to, his forceful efforts to advance the intrinsic evil of abortion on demand both domestically and internationally; his antagonistic and ruthless efforts to force the intrinsic evils of contraception and sterilization on poor nations through financial enticements and threats; his continued policy of directing US tax dollars to such organizations as Planned Parenthood which traffic in the currency of numerous intrinsic evils.
Moreover, Barack Obama has lied numerous times, including his controversial appearance at Notre Dame in 2009, about attempts to reach so-called common ground with the Catholic Church on matters including protection of conscience rights for health care workers.
His most recent legal efforts to force Catholic institutions to act against their consciences and pay for contraception and abortion inducing birth control products underscore his total belligerence toward the Catholic Church and Her teachings.
As such .. the appearance of Barack Obama .. such an openly hostile opponent of the Church .. at a Catholic gala attended by high-ranking Catholic clergy would be a massive insult to untold numbers of the faithful who have fought this man’s advancement of one intrinsic evil after another.
In addition to matters of life .. Barack Obama has orchestrated a militant effort against the sacredness of marriage by supporting, promoting and advancing the intrinsic evil of same-sex so-called marriage at home and abroad. He has directed the full might and force of the federal government to impose its will on the Catholic Church in limiting and restricting Her rights and responsibilities to carry out the corporal works of mercy in the areas of adoption services, and ministering to US military personnel who are Catholic.
We therefore respectfully request that Barack Obama’s invitation be rescinded without delay and a sense of proper decorum restored.”
Now .. its very important to note that in 1996 .. Cardinal John O’Connor .. the archbishop of New York at the time .. would not allow then-President Bill Clinton to be extended an invitation to the Al Smith Dinner specifically because of his pro-abortion stance and policies.
So how is that 16 years ago .. a sitting president was denied an invitation to the dinner because he had the blood of pre-born children on his hands .. but now that doesn’t seem to matter?
And recall that in 1996 .. Bill Clinton was exhibiting none of same intense anti-Catholic policies as Barack Obama is today. The bishops of the United States saw no need to sue their president. They saw no need to try and rally Catholics from coast to coast in a two week effort of prayer and mobilization against the sitting president’s policies.
They saw no need to launch an intense media blitz .. writing articles and appearing on large numbers of TV and radio shows and newscasts.
The stakes were nowhere near as high 16 years ago as they are today. Yet in that relatively subdued environment .. the then Cardinal of New York stood up and said .. NO .. Mr. President .. you cannot come to the dinner.
Yet today .. with seemingly everything on the line .. and a president who has demonstrated nothing less than a thinly veiled disgust of the Catholic Church and Her teachings .. who is actively involved in a lawsuit against Her .. THIS man gets the red carpet rolled out for him. And yes, there is a red carpet at the dinner.
Obama is of course glad to mingle with those he considers his enemies because it fits perfectly well his political calculus. He gets the photo op he wants to shove in the face of those Catholic who oppose him .. while at the same time giving him the perfect weapon to sew bewilderment among others.
In one fell swoop .. Obama gets to make his opponents look like buffoons AND score
political points by showing everyone the nice picture of him and Cardinal Dolan smiling and back-slapping.
Talk about killing two birds with one stone .. and at least one of those birds will be a Cardinal.
Please sign the petition and encourage anyone and everyone else you know to sign it and pass in on as well.
We keep hearing from Church leaders today to reclaim our Catholic identity which has been stolen from us because THEIR predecessors did not pass on the faith. Well, here’s a very easy way to begin to assert that identity.
Just click on the link to sign.
GOD Love you,

It's a Free Country - The Vortex With Michael Voris of Real Catholic TV
Hello everyone and welcome to The Vortex where lies and falsehoods are trapped and
exposed. I’m Michael Voris.
Republican presidential hopeful Senator Rick Santorum has ruffled the feathers of the liberal religious establishment .. in this case .. the Jewish anti-defamation league .. also known as the ADL.
In one of the purest pieces of hypocrisy you are likely to read in the arena where politics and religion cross over .. the ADL has issued a press release telling Santorum to shut up about his religion .. which by the way is Roman Catholicism.
The statement says in part .. "religious appeals to voters are simply unacceptable and un-American." First of all, says who? Abe Foxman of the ADL? Who appointed him the arbiter of what can be said by political candidates?
Secondly .. he never seemed to get all upset when candidate Obama was tromping across the country and speaking in every protestant church who would let him in.
He never seemed to get upset when the Clintons were barnstorming across the United
States and speaking to every inner-city black Church congregation who would welcome
them.
In fact .. Clinton spent soooo much time speaking before church crowds in the inner city, that he was nicknamed “the first black president”.
So where Foxman comes off saying its un-American and unacceptable is quite the
mystery. Perhaps he means its un-American and unacceptable when an actual
BELIEVING traditional Christian .. in this case .. Catholic says it.
BTW – Am I allowed to say “catholic”? Just sayin’!
Anyway .. this is the default position of the liberal political class .. of which the Jewish Anti-Defamation League is a prominent cheerleader and card-carrying member .. despite their claims to be .. um .. non-partisan.
Just a 5 second scroll through their homepage will reveal that they have come down
squarely on the side of every liberal political position known to man .. from partial birth abortion .. to “regular” abortion to individuals of the same gender engaging in sex with one another and demanding it be called marriage.
Yep ..nary a cause célèbre of the perverted political agenda goes by without the ADL
right there with their smug self-righteous pronunciations on what’s allowed to be said and what’s not.
And of course .. if someone challenges their stance on something .. the liberal elite PR machine kicks into high gear and the dreaded .. conversation ending .. charge of anti- Semitism is leveled against all opposition .. much the same as the charge of racism is leveled against opponents of Obama’s.
Well .. while we are on the topic of all these “isms” .. sure seems to me that the ADL is guilty of propagating the foul social illness of anti-Catholicism. After all .. Rick Santorum is Catholic .. loud and proud about it as a matter of fact .. and he committed the political heresy of using the name Jesus NOT in connection with the liberal agenda.
After years of having quite successfully hijacked Jesus for their own political purposes .. liberals simply cannot stand to see Him spoken about in actual TRUTHFUL terms .. such as his calling out of sin and evil and the consequences of a political and cultural order not conformed to His Divine Will.
Expect more of this condescending bluster as the campaign rolls along. We’ve attached a link to their press release on this page.
GOD Love You.
I’m Michael Voris.

Presidential Libraries
Father Z. visited the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum:
"Modern Presidential Libraries/Museum’s have replicas of the Oval Office as it was in the time of that President.
Fabrizio and I were both favorably impressed with the number of pipes President Ford had. They are everywhere around the office."
"One of the most controversial things Pres. Ford did was pardon former Pres. Nixon."
Meanwhile, in Arkansas:
"Gennifer Flowers, right, laughs as she and Paula Jones are interviewed in front of the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Ark., Monday, June 9, 2008."

Bill Clinton: "If You Elect Me..."

For that reason, he has assumed an interesting way of speaking from the stump whilst campaigning for his wife...
'If you elect me, I'll repeal those subsidies. And put them into a strategic energy fund that will create American jobs for America's future with clean energy.'"

Bill Clinton's Running Again — and It's All About Him

Watch: He's stalking the stage in South Carolina, as he did in New Hampshire and Iowa — a microphone in one hand, a wagging finger in the air, eyes wide open, the lip strategically bitten...
"The former president is pathological about preserving his own place in the spotlight," liberal columnist William Greider wrote Wednesday. "He can't stand it when he is not the story, and, one way or another, he will make himself the story..."
