Making a Mockery of Being Green

The creator of ‘Beavis and Butt-Head’ and ‘King of the Hill’ has a new target: environmentalists

By JAMIN BROPHY-WARREN

Director Mike Judge’s new animated television series “The Goode Family” is a send-up of a clan of environmentalists who live by the words “What would Al Gore do?” Gerald and Helen Goode want nothing more than to minimize their carbon footprint. They feed their dog, Che, only veggies (much to the pet’s dismay) and Mr. Goode dutifully separates sheets of toilet paper when his wife accidentally buys two-ply. And, of course, the family drives a hybrid...

Is nothing sacred anymore? Bashing the prophet Gore.

And speaking of TP...bought some three ply awhile back since we had a coupon and it was on sale :) I heard that they just came up with the technology to move from two-ply to three. I don't understand the difficulty...if aircraft companies can make wings and parts of the fuselage out of composites, which seem much more complex to me, then what's the problem with making three-ply TP?

And what are the Goode's doing enslaving this poor dog? Where are his rights?

LOL! What pontesisto said. Swissy: What's the difference between that and parents who force their kids to eat vegan due to their beliefs? I'm probably opening up a huge can of worms here because someone's going to say: "What about parents who impose their beliefs on their kids?" Ok, just do what your parents want. End of story.

As a parent of two little ones, I agree with "just do what your parents want." :)
